Attending the meeting were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Doan Thanh Ha, vice-principle of Banking University, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Ngoc Thach, head of Research Institute, Dr. Bui Dieu Anh, head of Faculty of Banking, Mr Vuong Quoc Nam – Director of State Bank of Vietnam, Soc Trang branch and lecturers of universities including Banking university of Ho Chi Minh city, University of Economics of Ho Chi Minh city, University of Economics and Laws, University of Finance and marketing, Ton Duc Thang university.
After the opening speech, the speakers delivered their presentations: “Developing microfinance activities in Vietnam” (Dr. Ha Van Duong); “Factors affecting marginal interest rates of the microfinance institutions” (MBA. Nguyen Anh Tu), “Practical issues and experience of microfinance activities” (Mr Danh Cuong, representative of Habitat Fund for Hunanity International in Viet Nam), “The transition from semi-formal microfinance model to formal microfinance model in Vietnam” (PhD. Le Thanh Ngoc and MBA. Tran Thi Binh An).
By the end of the presentation of the speaker, the seminar entered the debate time with comments, contributions and questions from the guests participating in the program.
In summary, to increase updates and extensions, the above-mentioned scientific contents need to be implemented in the content of teaching and research for students.
